The sweet smell of success

Not content with being a fashion accessory alone, the violet was also turned into scent.

Lamma's Dawlish factory was responsible for extracting the essence of the blooms, selling the scent around the world.

Despite their success, the business eventually closed as new perfumes from the glamorous fashion houses became more in vogue.
