Inside Out met the 26-year-old whose online make-up tutorials are viewed by millions of people. Lauren has developed her own type of celebrity influenced make-up styles. She's shown her viewers how their make-up can give them the appearance of stars, from Miley Cyrus to Amy Winehouse. And there’s even a fan page set up by someone in Canada… The BBC is not responsible for the content of external websites How it beganLauren started selling eye-make-up products on Ebay and instead of taking photos of the products she took pictures of them on her eyes, to show how they were applied. ![]() A natural progression to video tutorials She says YouTube seemed like a natural progression and she joined in June 2007. Since the Inside Out film about Lauren was added to YouTube in May 2008 it’s become the BBC's most viewed video on the channel and has been watched more than 2 million times. Help playing audio/video Meeting the QueenIn October 2008 Lauren went down to London as a guest of YouTube and met the Queen, who asked her what she did on the site and where she was from. Lauren said it was a great experience and that the Queen has "better skin than me". She's been to New York three times – her first time abroad – to develop the products, for her own make-up line, which will be launched in March 2009. And she's also the subject of a BBC3 documentary due to be aired early in 2009. As Lauren's fame spreads, her potential grows to join the ranks of the new generation of internet based entrepreneurs.
