Lucy Adams is the Director of BBC People and a member of the BBC Executive Board.
Lucy took up the role on 1 June 2009, and is responsible for the full range of HR functions including training and development, resourcing, employee relations, reward, organisation design and change management.
She is also responsible for the BBC's outsourced HR services.
Lucy was previously Director of HR at the international legal firm Eversheds LLP. Prior to this she spent nine years at Serco Group plc, starting as Change Director in the Rail Division before becoming the Group HR Director in 2004.
She started her career in recruitment; she has worked as a lecturer in further education and led change programmes in the training and development sector as Head of Strategy and Development for North Yorkshire Training and Enterprise Council.
