- This section is the Board of Governors' assessment of performance in 2003/2004 against strategic objectives set by the Board.
- It also includes the objectives that the Governors have set for BBC management for 2004/2005.
- For the detailed reviews of how individual BBC television channels, radio networks and other BBC services met their commitments for 2003/2004 published last year please see the Governors' review of services.
- Commitments made by each BBC service for 2004/2005 were published in April 2004. BBC Governors will review progress against these commitments in next year's report.
