Zuma criticised for home upgrade

An anti-corruption ombudsman in South Africa has heavily criticised President Jacob Zuma for a $20m upgrade to his private home.

Local media alleged that some of it was spent on a swimming pool and amphitheatre; the president insisted the work - including a helipad and an underground bunker - was for security reasons.

The Public Protector called on Mr Zuma to pay back some of the money.
