Titanic violin could fetch record price at auction

A violin that was played to help calm passengers as the Titanic sank has gone on display in Britain before being sold at auction.

The instrument belonged to the band leader, Wallace Hartley, who died along with fifteen hundred others when the ship went down in 1912.

The auctioneer says the violin represents everything good about human nature.

It's expected to fetch almost half a million dollars and has attracted attention from buyers around the world.

New DNA research may have solved mystery of yeti

DNA research may have finally solved the mystery of the yeti, or Abominable Snowman.

Scientists at Oxford University tested hair samples thought to have come recently from unknown yeti-like creatures, found in the Himalayas.

The tests pointed to a genetic match with an ancient polar bear from Norway.

This has led the scientists to suggest there could be a sub-species of brown bear in the High Himalayas which has been mistaken for the mythical beast.
