School football team

Pastor Hudson's Diary: June 09

The school football team goes from strength to strength

Greetings from Swanland School Nairobi Kenya. I first must thank all my friends and supporters for praying for me during my sickness and for their sacrifice to improve the lives of so many children in Swanland Community Nairobi Kenya.

I am sorry I missed my report last month. I have never been so sick and I was feeling pain all over the body. When I went to the doctor they took a blood test to discover that I was having Highland Malaria. I was so serious I was admitted for five days.
I’m still weak but hope to feel better soon.

The School and family are fine and everything is getting on well. The kids have just taken their mid term exams, the primary will end on Thursday this week. Thank you for the financial support and prayers.

The money this month will help me clear our bills particularly the exams fee for the Kenya national examination council. We need to pay 94.000 Kenya Shillings for all the students to take their exams this month. We are preparing candidates both junior school and senior for the national M.O.C.K next month and already they have been given the opening exams.

Food is still very expensive. We received the money that you sent last week and we bought four bags of rice each 50kg and three bags of maize and some sugar. We have tried to maintain the number of students and there are about 360.

The football team is doing well and I will send you more details once the coach has finished his report.

I met with John Downing last month and we had a lovely time. We shared a lot about the future of the School and that I should trust in God.

Thanks a lot for letting me know of your new vicar I wish him good health as he takes over new challenge in your Church.

I’m feeling a bit better but still very weak. I hope to be fine soon. Thank you for everything and may God bless you all.

Send my love to all friends in the UK

Yours in His service
