Presenter Lara King

Listen to Lara

Catch again some of Lara's interviews from her mid-morning show. Featuring local folk with a story to tell and celebrities from stage, screen, writing and music.

Welcome to my selection of some of the interviews that really set you talking and me thinking.

Presenting the morning show is great fun, but I often get calls saying that you've missed something or just caught the end of it. We do have our Listen Again feature through the BBC iPlayer which is constantly updated and so some of the 'old' items are lost.

Therefore, I thought, it would be great to gather together in one place some of the interviews I've enjoyed doing and share them with you once more. So, listen again...and again...and...again, but most of all enjoy.

Juan Kunchiky (r)

This picture is of  Juan Kunchiky an Amazonian Indian from the Equadorian rainforest who was a guest on the programme.

Juan's striking appearance certainly caused a few heads to turn when he visited our studios in Hull as you can see from his distinctive garb.

You can hear his interview by using the link above.

Woman in radio studio

Another international visitor was Siyoli Lusaseni who travelled from South Africa to the UK to promote the game of squash.

Siyoli was born in London but is a resident of South Africa. In 2008, Siyoli took part in the World Women's Squash Championship in Cairo.

Here are some links to some of my other pages here on the BBC Humberside site.

The following links are connected with some of the audio features, shown above.
