Our man in Tasmania

Nick Falk sends a regular postcard from Australia's island state.

Nick Falk

Nick Falk, the correct way up, while in the UK

How does an English gentleman respond to ridgy-didge Aussie lingo? Should he attempt to join in or would that give the impression that he has kangaroos loose in the top paddock? What about health and safety? Is it rude to ask whether the sharks bite or if a propeller engine will really stay attached to the wing with a bit of rope?

Battling to maintain propriety in manners and conduct Nick Falk describes his everyday encounters with all things Tasmanian.

Nick does not confine himself to Tasmania. Breezing a trail around the Pacific Ocean, he is regularly in China, Taiwan and the US, and he sends home his thoughts in a weekly audio postcard. Hear what he has to say below.
