The Last People on Earth play Leeds/ Reading Festival 2008
Blast Reporter Suzanne Lee
Hull quartet The Last People on Earth are no strangers to Leeds Festival. How are they feeling about this years imminent return?
Describing themselves as a psych-prog-party band The Last People on Earth have been a firm fixture on the Hull music scene for the past five years. Drawing comparisons to explain their sound Patrick, the bands lead vocalist and bass player, suggests you should 'think of Pink Floyd meets the Super Furry Animals and Beta Band or perhaps Jeff Buckley singing late 60's Beach Boy songs'. Naturally their music has evolved over the last five years, in their own words 'like a child but quicker' leaving them with three albums firmly in place, the latest being Electric Angel.
Raw Talent takes a moment to ask them what this years Leeds/ Reading Festival means to them and finds out why shampoo is not high on their wish list.
