Fake vet jailed

A bogus vet exposed by a BBC Look North undercover investigation has been sentenced to a year in jail

Leonard French, who is from near Sleaford, Lincolnshire, pleaded guilty to 20 charges of pretending to be a vet, and illegally selling animal medicines.

He was jailed for 12 months by a judge at Lincoln Crown Court.

BBC Look North's Rural Affairs Correspondent Guy Lynn secretly recorded his illegal activities over three days.

The scale of the crime was revealed in court to be hundreds of thousands of pounds.
