What's on the Big Screen

This week on the Big Screen in Hull's Victoria Square.

TV HIGHLIGHTS:
The Big Screen will be showing coverage of the Six Nations Rugby on Saturday, together with late night coverage of the Test Cricket between New Zealand and England.

On Sunday morning, the Big Screen is hosting the Hull Sport Relief Mile event with entertainment and fun, interactive sports games, celebs and live music.

On Good Friday, the city of Hull will be immersed in Super League for the city derby. The Big Screen will have full commentary from Hull KR v Hull FC between 11 and 3pm.

LOCAL PICTURE HIGHLIGHTS:
The Big Screen is showing a special series of Arts Council films which accompany the “City Speaks” radio programmes on BBC Radio 4. One of the films has been produced by an art whose mother lives in Hull.

There is a new selection of your photographs which have featured on Peter Levy’s screen in the Look North studio.

The Big Screen is taking a look at the city through the eyes of young people from Endeavour High School in Hull who will tell their stories through a series of 5 films which form part of “Campaign! Make an Impact”. There is an exhibition in the Ferens Art Gallery to coincide with these screenings.

There’s the best in UK film making and animation in our monthly showcase from Propeller TV. We have the Big Screen Golden Years with Phil White from BBC Radio Humberside’s studios every weekday from 2pm. Plus BBC Radio One’s Dominic Byrne has Newsbeat’s top 10 weird videos of the week in Oddbox, and there’s the latest movie news.
