This year the festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a world music festival finale on Saturday 1st July. The programme of events includes open gardens, outdoor theatre, exhibitions by local artists, music and dance performances. Also on the bill is stand up comedian Andy Parsons, who is a regular panelist on BBC 2 show ‘Mock The Week’, and north Lincolnshire jazz outfit The Roy Norton Quartet. The world music festival day ends the celebrations with music from Africa, Latin America and Asia. “It’s the first time we're holding the world music day,” said festival director Liz Bennett, “and we just thought it would be nice to do something to say thank you to all the people who supported us over the last 10 years.” |
