KC stadium increase unlikely

Hull City chairman Adam Pearson has revealed that any increase in the capacity at the KC Stadium is unlikely to happen in 2005.

"It's an exciting development for the club"

The Tigers success over the past two seasons means the club is threatening to outgrow the stadium, which was only opened two years ago.

We understand, the preferred proposal would see the capacity upped to over 38,000 - it's currently just over 25,000.

Adam Pearson says it's more likely to be a year next summer:

"The scheme has come back from the archetects and it's in place and it's an exciting development for the club".

And the Tigers home games against Doncaster and Huddersfield, over the holiday period, look certain to be sell outs for home fans according to the City chairman:

"The two christmas games I would expect to be sell outs although the away end has to go to its entirety to the away supporters".
