Technically the land does not belong to him but as he owns the land behind, he has some rights on what is road reserve. Ten days before the unfortunate events, the local authority agreed that as the land did not belong to the 'Landlord' he could no longer claim rent from the schools. It appears the Landlord has taken the situation into his own hands because if he can't have it, then neither can Pastor Hudson. Just as the school was opening on Friday, October 29th, a gang of 50 armed thugs set about destroying the school. When police arrived they first sent the crowd away and then chased the thugs across the land at the back. As they left they set fire to the school starting in the Library and Boys dormitory. The boy borders have lost all of their possessions. The children were later allowed in to rescue some of the things from the front of the building (as you can see in the above photograph). There is now a warrant for the arrest of the landlord and there was a police guard at the school last night. Please pray for..... -The safety of Pastor Hudson, the children and teachers at the school. -The immediate plans for the children as they return to school. -Meetings with the local government officers as they plan the future of the school. Hopefully, it will only be a short time before Pastor Hudson can again write his diary for this website.
