Connecting Locally in Hull, East Yorkshire & Lincolnshire
The BBC has
invested £25 million developing a whole new range of services for TV viewers,
radio listeners and web users in East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
'Connecting Locally' initiative – also known as Project Hull – was unveiled
by BBC ex-Director General, Greg Dyke, in October 2001.
teams across the region have worked to deliver a range of exciting new
services and initiatives for the people of Hull, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
delivered a brand new TV region called BBC
Yorkshire and Lincolnshire which is dedicated solely to the area
stretching from Bridlington in the North to Kings Lynn in the South.
latest BBC investment comes on top of the award winning "world first"
set of TV experiments in Hull, using Kingston Communications broadband
Hull Interactive TV a valuable, two-way method of bringing people
in Hull local information, learning facilities for all the family - not
just school pupils - and also entertainment.
