BBC Humber
Bus - life on the open road
There's a
special bus on the roads of East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire,
giving you the chance to improve your computer skills and learn more about
the BBC.

Computers
have revolutionised how we work and play. Take your children or grandchildren
for example. Most of them will use computers at school and are getting
a head start in using computers.
Wouldn't
it be great to understand what they are doing and be able to talk to them
about what they are doing?
This is where
the BBC Bus can help you. On board you’ll find a fully equipped computer
room with six terminals.

Inside the
BBC Humber Bus
Visitors
are welcome to climb aboard the bus and learn how to use the internet
under the guidance of qualified local tutors. Best of all, the tuition
and computer usage is completely free.
All the tutors
work in education across East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire and
join the bus on the days when it visits their area.
This means,
if you want to carry on learning about computers after your visit to the
BBC Bus you can find out what is available locally by asking the tutors
on board.

BBC Humber
Bus
So if you
enjoy gardening or local history, we will help you discover the world
of the internet via the BBC web sites.
The tutors
will also show you how to use email, and then you’ll be able to keep in
touch with any friends or relatives who live far away.
Visitors
can also interact with the programmes on BBC Radio Humberside.
