Lucy Alexander

As a property developer, Lucy has sold many houses over the years and has a vast portfolio. She has built up a wealth of knowledge in interior design, project management and development.

Lucy is currently putting her passion for property to good use, and taking on the highs and lows of the auction room, co-presenting the BBC One series Homes Under The Hammer.

Lucy lives in London with her husband and daughter, Kitty.

Ian Blandford

Ian Blandford has worked in property for many years. After qualifying as an electrician, he trained on building sites and worked commercially before joining the BBC, working on the lighting of shows such as Eastenders, The House of Eliott and Top of the Pops. However, his fascination with property renovation remained. His first project was to completely gut and rebuild a 1930s semi in Windsor. More recently, he has restored a Victorian terrace which was featured in BBC Good Homes magazine.

Ian joined BBC One’s Trading Up team as a presenter in 2005, and is now a regular on BBC One’s To Buy or Not To Buy with Jenny Powell. He’s also just taken on another huge restoration project, a five-storey Georgian house.

Billy Byrne

Billy is a well-loved member of the DIY SOS team, who learnt his trade as an electrician in the 1960s, but then went into lighting for films and TV (in fact he still does the lighting for other BBC productions such as Holby City). An original DIY SOS member, he’s the clown of the team.
