Ian BlandfordIan Blandford has worked in property for many years. After qualifying as an electrician, he trained on building sites and worked commercially before joining the BBC, working on the lighting of shows such as Eastenders, The House of Eliott and Top of the Pops. However, his fascination with property renovation remained. His first project was to completely gut and rebuild a 1930s semi in Windsor. More recently, he has restored a Victorian terrace which was featured in BBC Good Homes magazine. Ian joined BBC One’s Trading Up team as a presenter in 2005, and is now a regular on BBC One’s To Buy or Not To Buy with Jenny Powell. He’s also just taken on another huge restoration project, a five-storey Georgian house.
