You've found the place of your dreams, your offer has been accepted and you're waiting for the legal paperwork to be cleared. Although most of the work is carried out by solicitors and estate agents, it pays to keep a track of each stage of the purchase.

Arrange survey and set date for it to take place
Agree on an exchange date
Organise funds for deposit and bills

Exchange contracts and set a completion date
Arrange to pick up the keys to your new home!
