Go for a funky futuristic look and create the ultimate party room. Projectors, automatic colour change lighting, DJ decks and space age accessories make this a must-have look for any young couple.

|
Walls
Go for a neutral colour throughout the room. This will help ensure that the space can be used for many purposes. |
|
|
|
Lighting
Lighting is a key feature in this design. It will dictate the mood of the room. Install colour change technology, which is programmed to different settings and altered at the touch of a button. |
|
|
|
Floor
On the floor, choose a modern rubberised, funky covering. This will be easy to clean, keep the room warm and look great! |
|
|
|
CD storage
On one wall, construct white lacquered shelving units to store CDs and vinyl. |
|
|
|
Artwork
Throughout the room, hang modern artwork. This can be attached to the outside of the CD storage units. Go for a design with a bold texture as this will catch the lighting in the room and make great shadows. |
|
|
|
Lounging area
At one end of the room, create a chill out space. Build a large seating area with a mattress size seat pad. Cover additional storage units with further raised seat pads. Dress the area with cushions and fur throws. |
|
|
|
TV
Install white roller shutters to take care of the window to one side and to hide the TV, video and DVD when not in use. These can be operated by remote control. |
|
|
|
Decks
Create a DJ station, which consists of eight separate units. Allow the bottom four units to slide out to form a podium for DJ equipment. Go for white lacquered units with fret cut internally lit acrylic doors. |
|
|
|
Seating
Provide additional seating by placing space age bean bags on the floor. These should be white to match the rest of the room. |
