Transform your kitchen into a retro fifties styled one, using dyed bath mats, floral designs and ice blue walls.

Floor
Create a 1950s funky kitchen in ice blue. Paint the floor with three coats of cream vinyl floor paint. |

|
Walls
Go retro on the walls with a cream, curvy stencil around the room. Use low-tack tape that is easy to remove after painting, leaving perfect edges to the stencil without taking off any of the existing paint. |

|
Worktop
Paint the worktops with a thick coat of emulsion and then spray on a specialist dry-flake system in a mix of silver, white and grey to give the surfaces sparkle. |

|
Shelf
Build a retro-style suspended shelf out of flexi-ply and MDF. Prime and then paint on two coats of cream paint and fix securely onto the wall. |

Cushions
Dye fluffy bath mats blue to match the walls. Sew on a backing and make into cushions. |

Table dressing
Dress the table with blue mugs and floral place mats. |
