About the contributor

I joined the Royal Navy as a Cadet on 12.9.36. and served as a Midshipman in HMS Delhi and HMS Devonshire in the Mediterranean Fleet.
During the war, I served as Sub Lieutenant in HMS Antelope and as Lieutenant in HMS Verdun (First Lieutenant). After specialising in Signals in 1942, I was appointed to HMS Bulolo (Combined Operations Headquarters Ship) in 1943 and HMS Saumarez in 1944. I retired voluntarily as Lieutenant Commander on 29.11.58.

I am interested in contacting fellow officers and shipmates and may recount some experiences while at sea.
