My grandfather, John Emrys Williams, was a signalman on HMS Diadem. In his diary he wrote about the Arctic Convoys, D-Day and the feelings of a Welshman missing home and family. I'm posting some of his diary - the section about D-Day - on this BBC website. To read the full diary, please visit aberth dot com. To contact me, please use melyn at bigfoot dot com - because I won't catch messages sent to the BBC's 'pigeon hole'. Thanks.
