The CSV Action Desk at BBC GMR has been working with the Time of Your Life Club in Ashton-Under-Lyne to build an archive of WW2 Memories.

Mrs Joyce Chadwick says:
"The Time of Your Life clubs in Ashton-under-Lyne were founded by George, my husband, and myself. Since then we have helped to start three other clubs. Approximately four hundred members, pensioners, attend the clubs every week to enjoy friendship and social opportunities including keep-fit, day-trips, and many more. Each club is financially independent and run by hardworking unpaid volunteers. We have made many friends and enjoyed our retirement. We would like to thank those of our members who have taken part in the BBC People's War project. This has enabled us to obtain a Home Front Recall grant from the Lottery to hold a party to celebrate the end of the War."
