This story has been typed in by librarian from Telford Library on behalf of my father Leonard HAll. My Father was in the Home Guard in Birmingham. He won a DSM for capturing a German airman who bailed out over Birmingham. Unfortunately he was later Court-Martialled.

The D.S.M is a Naval award; the equivalent award for Army other ranks, is the D.C.M.~Bundook.
