The article was collated and written by a pupil at Mortimer Wilson School, Alfreton as part of a Peoples war Project."

One night in 1941 bombs dropped on Alfreton. Mr Olen Renshaw of Prospect Street, Alfreton was killed on this night, together with Mr Weten who also died on King Street.
