We got of at the wrong Station when the Benton Guns were going off.

My friend (Susan Winham)of Benton Way near Carville Road and I had to run for our lives, When we got home atWallsend , my Mother (Susan) would not let her go home as she was terrified of the air-raid, so she had to stay at our house untill it was safe, which was the next day.

I was also a member of Haggies Angels.
