My training included doing a stint of Guard duty, and I felt very Important .as they gave me a Rifle( unloaded) and instructions to say"Halt who goes there" and check all credentials.
It was very dark and I was nervous and needed to go to the bathroom quite badly! however I stuck it out, after about an hour I heard footsteps, and got up from the little bench in the Sentry box, and shouted "stop, who are you?A voice answereed in a very gutteral accent, something about the Fuhrer.
I was so scared (after all I was just eighteen,) that I started to cry and I am ashamed to say wet my pants!
The culprit was one of my workshop instuctors and thought it would be fun, oh how I wish I could remember his Name it would be on this website!
