I was a student at Norwich Training College.

It was VE Day and my friend and I decided to become blood donors.

It was a very hot day and my friend Pam and I went to the hospital to give blood.

When I looked over Pam had passed out and was being wheeled out in a chair. The next thing I remember I had also passed out.

They did actually get our blood, but I have never given blood since.
