Regional Information
The Moravian community of Gracehill, in Ballymena has existed since 1765. At that time the village would have been home to around 300 people.
In 1975, the settlement, with its neat layout and attractive Georgian architecture, became the first site in Northern Ireland to be declared a conservation area.It has since won a number of prestigious awards. Today the village is still a largely residential community with a growing population, often attracted by the high standards of education available at the famous school.
