About the author
Dennis McBride was born in Boulder City and grew up hearing Hoover Dam workers tell their stories. Today he works as curator for the Boulder City Museum and Historical Association. He has published several books on the Boulder Canyon Project, and appeared in many radio and television programmes on this topic. His current book projects include Blood in the Gravy, a survey of violent death surrounding the project.
