In this picturesque area of the Deben 
 Valley Wilford Bridge, which is the   
 first crossing from the Estuary,      
 carries the A1152 over the river      
 between the parishes of Melton and    
 Bromeswell. This road is the main     
 artery to Bentwaters and Woodbridge   
 USAF Bases. East and north of the     
 A1152 is an AONB being mainly         
 heathland used as a Golf Course with  
 arable farming and Forestry Commission
 Plantations. Melton is mainly a       
 residential area adjacent to          
 Woodbridge with some industry whilst  
 Bromeswell is a dormitory village with
 a Nature Reserve and Eyke is more a   
 working village. The area north of the
 A1152 and B1084 surrounding the       
 villages of Bromeswell, Eyke and the  
 outskirts of Lower Ufford produces a  
 barley, wheat, sugar beet, the        
 colourful oil seed rape, pigs and
