Our area lies to the immediate north of
London Docklands the regeneration of   
which is the most important development
in Europe during the 80s.It promises to
provide unique opportunities for people
residing here,investors and businesses.
For residents there are to be a wide   
range of attractive,well-sited homes;  
for investors and businesses,sites with
high investment potential and schemes  
to set up new or re-located enterprises
The major advantage of Docklands is the
close proximity to the centre of London
only 10 minutes away.The waterscape has
a total area of 20 sq kms or 8 sq miles
where the once famous Port of London   
used to be.The 4 areas of Docklands are
Wapping,Isle of Dogs,the Royal Docks   
and Surrey Docks and the Enterprise    
Zone.History will know if the plans    
were a success or not.

In 2011 the BBC published the survey online and for six months invited updates to the photographs and text to celebrate the 25th anniversary.

Shortly afterwards the website was added to The National Archives’ UK Government Web Archive.
