1986 MARGARET THATCHER part 1

 MARGARET HILDA THATCHER (nee ROBERST) 
 WAS BORN IN GRANTHAM,LINCS. ON  13th  
 OCTOBER 1925 AND WILL CELEBRATE HER   
 60th BIRTHDAY LATER THIS YEAR (1985). 
 SHE OBTAINED HER DEGREE IN SCIENCE    
 FROM OXFORD(1946) AND STARTED HER     
 POLITICAL CAREER IN ESSEX.            
 IN 1951 SHE WAS SECOND IN THE DARTFORD
 ELECTION,THE SAME DAY SHE BECAME      
 ENGAGED TO DENNIS THATCHER.           
 1951 SAW HER MARRIAGE TO NR DENNIS    
 THATCHER, A MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE  
 FAMILY PAINT FIRM.                    
 ON 20th OCTOBER 1959 MRS T WON THE    
 FINCHLEY SEAT AND SO ENTERED          
 PARLIAMENT.                           
 TWO YEARS LATER (OCT 1961) AFTER LOTS 
 OF EXTREMELY HARD WORK IN THE HOUSE,  
 HAROLD MACMILLAN(PM) PROMOTED HER TO  
 THE CABINET, RESPONSIBLE FOR PENSIONS 
 AND NATIONAL INSURANCE.
