 POTTEN END IS A SMALL, QUIET VILLAGE  
 SITUATED IN A NORTH WESTERLY DIRECTION
 FROM THE NEW TOWN OF HEMEL HEMPSTEAD. 
                                       
 THIS SURVEY HAS BEEN CARRIED OUT IN   
 POTTEN END AND THE SURROUNDING AREA,  
 BY THE FIRST YEAR PUPILS FROM         
                                       
      THE JOHN F. KENNEDY SCHOOL       
                                       
 THE SURVEY WAS CARRIED OUT IN THE     
 SUMMER TERM OF 1985, TAKING SIX WEEKS 
 TO COMPLETE. THIS SURVEY IS           
 REPRESENTED IN THE FOLLOWING TWENTY

In 2011 the BBC published the survey online and for six months invited updates to the photographs and text to celebrate the 25th anniversary.

Shortly afterwards the website was added to The National Archives’ UK Government Web Archive.
