1986 RECREATION

 Papercourt Sailing Club               
   The land was leased from Hall       
 Aggregates after they had removed the 
 sand. The club is opened on Saturdays,
 Sundays and Wednesday evenings in the 
 summer. There are 700 many members but
 the public may also use the facilities
 People may sail without lifeguards but
 under their leasing rules a rescue    
 team of at least people should be     
 present                               
 Hoebridge Golf Course                 
 Development of Hoebridge Golf Course  
 began in 1980 and the course was      
 opened in 1982. Before the golf course
 was built the land was owned by       
 Hoebridge farm; A dairy farm which    
 delivered guiness milk from Jersey    
 cows. The complex has a par 3 course, 
 a driving range and an 18 hole main   
 course. There are 400 club members but
 the public may 'pay and play.'
