1986 PRODUCE FROM WITTERING FARMS

   The local farms have both livestock 
 and grow a variety of crops.          
 Manor and Marsh Farms These farms are 
 run by Mr.Rusbridge.Marsh Farm is the 
 dairy farm with two hundred head of   
 Friesian cattle and one Hereford      
 bull.Manor Farm has fields in which   
 are grown Winter wheat,Winter barley, 
 Spring wheat and peas.Grass is grown  
 for silage and about half of the land 
 is given over to meadow for the       
 cattle.The total amount of land       
 belonging to Manor and Marsh Farms is 
 about four hundred acres.             
 Grange Farm  Corn is grown on this    
 farm and the farmer also has ninety-  
 five bullocks.                        
 Church Farm  There is no live stock   
 on Church Farm but the farmer grows   
 wheat,oilseed rape and peas that can  
 be dried.
