1986 Mobile Amenities Guilsboro'

As there are relatively few amenities  
in the village of Guilsborough-once    
quite self supporting with Bakers,     
Butchers, Saddler, Tailor etc. -       
mobile vans nowadays fill some needs   
as follows :-Fish and Chip van         
outside the Primary School 4.30pm      
Saturdays 4.30- 6.30 Wednesdays;       
Daventry Mobile Library -weekly-       
alternate Monday and Tuesday pm;       
Ken Troop-Fruit and Veg.- various      
stops - Monday and Friday pm;          
M.G.Meats-Tuesday and Friday;          
Midland Bank van-Tuesday mornings      
outside the Post Office; several       
Ice-Cream vans at various times;       
mobile clinic - monthly;               
laundry van collects and delivers      
weekly;hard- ware van fortnightly;     
baker's van three times per week.      
Thornby and Cold Ashby are also        
served  by various mobile amenities.
