2011 The Media

Hucknall has one weekly newspaper, the Hucknall Dispatch, published each Friday for more than 100 years. In 2011, the Dispatch’s celebrated chief reporter, Denis “Scoop” Robinson, retired after more than 57 years with the paper. The Nottingham Post is published six days a week. The area is served by BBC Radio Nottingham, BBC East Midlands Today and ITV Central Tonight. On several occasions in the 1990s, Hucknall enjoyed its own 28-day RSL commercial radio station - WHAM “Wonderful Hucknall AM”.
