            October 14, 1874           
  The attendence has been bad this     
 week.Many of the children are helping 
 to get potatoes.                      
            July 17, 1888              
  Punished George Thompson for writing 
 a bad word on a slate and showing it  
 to some girls.                        
            November 20, 1896          
  Attendence low due to measles and one
 whole family away on account of       
 scarlet fever.                        
            May 10, 1940               
  An accident to John Hawkins which    
 occured on Friday afternoon has been  
 reported to the managers.

In 2011 the BBC published the survey online and for six months invited updates to the photographs and text to celebrate the 25th anniversary.

Shortly afterwards the website was added to The National Archives’ UK Government Web Archive.
