1986 A School-girl's Diary (2)

At twelve o'clock or half past
twelve we go for our dinner. Then we
have a playtime till quarter past one.
Then we go into the classroom and work
for three quarters of an hour. Our
next playtime is at two thirty till
two forty five. Then we work and at
three forty-five we go home. When I
get in I have my tea.Sometimes I go
out to the Recreation Centre or the
Leisure Pool for the evening. I also
enjoy walking with my friends or
riding my bike. I watch the television
some time in the evening as I have
 several favourite programmes, but at
nine o'clock I go to bed.

In 2011 the BBC published the survey online and for six months invited updates to the photographs and text to celebrate the 25th anniversary.
