Lane.People travel to Leeds,Harrogate
and Ripon to work.One youth works in
the grounds at Grantley Hall on a
youth opportunity scheme.There is a
joinery business in Lowgate Lane.One
man has recntly found a job in Perth.
THe teachers travel in from Harrogate,
Masham and Summerbridge.The major form
of employment is farming,with the farm
owners doing their own work with the
aid of sons and daughters.
