1986 HEDNESFORD-SPORT AND LEISURE

  Numerous sporting facilities are     
available in Hednesford. There is a    
park, supplying a play area for under  
fourteens and facilities for football, 
cricket, bowls, putting and tennis, the
site covering some 5 acres.            
  Hednesford has a private golf course,
Beaudesert, available to paying        
members. It also has an amateur        
cricket club playing in a recognised   
league. Hednesford has a thriving      
football club, Hednesford Town, which  
is 104 years old and is presently      
playing in the Southern Midland League.
  Hednesford Raceway also plays a      
dominant role in the leisure facilities
available. Belonging to Incarace' and 
catering for stock rods, super rods,   
ramp jump races and speed racing, the  
National Championships are to be held  
at the raceway during September 1985.
