1986 INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Within Sherbrook school there is a room totally devoted to computer technology. There are 18 computers made by R M L Microcomputer Systems which are all logged onto a Research Machines Winchester. On the network programs are written and produced by pupils for school use and examination purposes. In Cannock there is situated a major computer installation called Compower run by Manpower Services Commission for use by the Government and the National Coal Board. Cannock library has a records office where historical information about the area is kept on paper and micro-film. The library also has a large reference section for use by the public.
