1986 Services

   The Police Station is a converted   
house situated on the A449. They do    
schemes for children in the holidays to
show the good side of the Police Force.
They are linked to the main            
headquarters in Stafford.              
In Penkridge we have a hard working    
Police Service.                        
   In Penkridge the fire crew are all  
local men who double as firemen. They  
have a fire engine in one of the many  
public garages near the centre of      
Penkridge. If it is a large blaze      
Stafford send engines to help.         
   There is a large vetenary Surgery   
in Penkridge which serves a large      
farming area.

In 2011 the BBC published the survey online and for six months invited updates to the photographs and text to celebrate the 25th anniversary.

Shortly afterwards the website was added to The National Archives’ UK Government Web Archive.
