1986 Haslington-An Overview.

 The "village" of Haslington is        
 situated on the A534 road from        
 Nantwich to Sandbach.                 
 An urban/rural area approximately two 
 miles from the large town of Crewe.   
 The Parish comprises of three wards,  
 Haslington,Winterley and Oakhanger and
 the area is some 3,838 acres.The      
 population of the area is             
 approximately 6000.                   
 There is a modest shopping centre     
 which fits the needs of the community 
 in general and half-day closing is

In 2011 the BBC published the survey online and for six months invited updates to the photographs and text to celebrate the 25th anniversary.

Shortly afterwards the website was added to The National Archives’ UK Government Web Archive.
