Mr.Ostler has 54 cattle and 175 ewes. By the autumn he will have up to 2000 lambs which will be fattened ready for market. A typical crop rotation in one field would be: 1st year: grass 2nd year: barley 3rd year: wheat 4th year: wheat 5th year: kale 6th year: barley 7th year: barley In the future Mr.Ostler hopes to cut down on barley and grow peas/flax/OSR.
