     The wettest June for 50 yrs. There
 was 165mm of rain,the average being   
 70mm for June in the Aberystwyth area.
 Better road links needed. Councillors 
 call for better road links to         
 M4.Aberystwyth too isolated.Local     
 roads in poor condition and more money
 is needed. Bombs found on beach. 20   
 mortar bombs found on beach near      
 Aber.Safely detonated by Bomb disposal
 unit. Oil at Ynys Las kills wildlife. 
 Oil washed ashore killed a seal and   
 fifteen sea birds. Graffiti teenagers 
 fined. Two boys who sprayed the walls 
 of public builings were fined £176.   
 Campaign to safeguard Welsh Woodlands.
 Welsh Minister of State launched COED 
 CYMRU,a major project to arrest the   
 decline of trees in Wales.
