1986 ST. PETER PORT
ST. PETER PORT IN GUERNSEY St. Peter Port is the capital of Guernsey. It is a small harbour town perched on a hill rising from the sea. As the main shopping centre, St. Peter Port is a busy place. There are few large department stores, most shops being relatively small and run by their local owners. Many of the buildings in St. Peter Port are very old. These are generally 'listed'; their owners cannot alter the building's appearance without official permission.
