ENTERTAINMENT IN GUERNSEY Many local hotels provide evening shows aimed largely at tourists. These are very popular. There are few discos in the Island, most of them in St. Peter Port. Casinos and gambling clubs are banned. There is presently no public cinema in the Island. Beau Sejour, the local Leisure/Sports Centre has a theatre and is the venue for a wide range of entertainments. St. James, a former church, has just opened as a concert hall.
